ABOUT

My name is Freah and I am the owner of Sacred Ends Midwifery located in Clarksville, TN. I became passionate in the field of death midwifery after years of working in the funeral home and have seen and experienced some of the gaps in death care. 

I felt how much disconnect there was in our society around death and how much "closure" was not being fulfilled. Our loved one dies and the dead are almost immediately whisked away from us, leaving us no time to really spend time with the body and making our peace with it. 

Only in the last 200 years has the funeral industry existed and it's been booming since. Before then, we took care of our own dead and dying. My mission is to bring back that ancestral practice so we can remove the stigma around death and bring comfort and compassionate care for the dying and help empower families.
